With over 100 releases on Toolroom Records, James’s music has also found homes on labels like Spinnin', Armada, Defected, Anjunabeats, and Atlantic Records. His harder-edged sounding alter-ego HVRR is signed to Ministry of Sound Records. He has worked on productions and remixes for artists such as Kylie Minogue, Robbie Williams, Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé, and Nile Rodgers. His sound also fuels global commercial campaigns for Volkswagen, Aston Martin, EA Sports, Deliveroo, and Red Bull. In 2017, James opened Aux Studios in Shoreditch, a hub of creativity where he has worked with leading names like Basement Jaxx, Danny Howard, Todd Terry, and George Kwali. 2021 saw the launch of 9M Studios in Elephant & Castle, where James expanded his production capacity and introduced a new artist project, Hrrtz, in collaboration with Paul Harris (Dirty Vegas). The project quickly gained traction with releases on Atlantic, Anjunabeats, and Selected, further showcasing his innovation in sound design. Recent hits have been nothing short of stellar, with James producing standout tracks like the platinum selling hit ‘Good Love’ with Hannah Laing, ‘Why I Love You So’ with Alok and Supafly, ‘Learn 2 Love’ with Tiesto, and RoRo, and ‘Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops!)!’ with ESSEL. He has also co-produced Mark Knight’s artist album, featuring the legendary Beverley Knight and the London Community Gospel Choir, which was a mainstay on the BBC Radio 2 A-list for 6 weeks. His track ‘Jump In’ was supported by Radio 1 for an impressive 13 weeks. With his artist project HVRR, James has not only charted in the UK Top 40, but also reached the UK Top 10 with the smash hit ‘Good Love’. He now commands nearly 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify, establishing him as a powerhouse in both the electronic and mainstream music spheres. Supported by Tiesto, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Afrojack, and Oliver Heldens, James continues to push boundaries and drive innovation, maintaining a global presence through his infectious sound and collaborations with artists like Green Velvet, Acraze, Sidepiece, and Paul Woolford.
